Say it With Flowers

5 07 2012

As I still can’t type properly, and certainly can’t get out for a walk any more, I’m putting out a very girly post on flowers and gardens.

These are in my garden:

These are wild and Welsh:

Also in Wales – Bodnant Gardens:

Cornwall:

and finally, the most peaceful place in Britain, The Well Garden in Glastonbury:

Yes it does But my feet tend to wander round the rest of the gardens on the way up sometimes.I like variety on a walk.

I,m pleased to see that Cornwall is part of your back garden Carol I,ve always liked it down that way :).
Some of my best remembered hill walks have been ones that included visiting large gardens or Botanical areas. They made the day after a cold windblasted spring visit to the summit of some god forsaken pathless lump in the middle of no where.Even a lovely hill like Goatfell on Arran is made better yet if you sneak up through Brodick castle gardens or return via there..

Don’t you come back through part of Brodick Castle’s grounds on the Goat Fell tourist route anyway? I’ve only used that route once as it seemed very long and not as interesting as the routes from places like Corrie…

Actually I love a nice garden. Ours is a total mess ‘cos I don’t seem to be able to get my head round doing all the weeding etc myself, but I do appreciate wandering around proper ones 🙂

My back garden’s largely okay as the previous owners made sure it was full of ground cover flowers – the front ‘lawn’ however… put it this way, it’s becoming very species rich.

I actually love looking round stately homes and gardens 🙂
