Often, while on a walking trip in winter, you can surface from your accommodation into cold and misty gloom where everything is dripping with damp and the cold bites into your very bones. It probably seems like a bad idea to set off up into the hills in weather like this and usually you would be right to not bother. But just sometimes, you would be making a mistake! Lake District Inversions (Slideshow)
