Where would photographers be without water? When it has been raining a lot (much of the time in the UK!) I like to visit waterfalls like these in Wales…
you can’t beat getting up close – far more exciting than using the zoom! 😉
I’m sure this next one, Rhaedr Mawddach, is the one used on the cover of Led Zep’s ‘Houses of the Holy’ album…
Looking down them can be pretty scary!
But I also enjoy the peace of lakes on calm, misty days…

Nope.It was always too expensive for my budget and I tended to go for warmer, less wet mountain areas in the Alps as they were a nice change from Scotland. Then It finally clicked how I could find the sun here.
I,ve collected pictures of most of Iceland,s major waterfalls though over the years.

How do you find the sun over here? Hibernate until it shows itself? 😉

Without the little girls – yeah. It could be as Rob Plant had his house in Wales and spent a fair bit of time there and the group once spent a while there writing – probably for Led Zep3 I think.
I quite fancy a trip to Iceland – have you been?

Actually, I’ve looked and it isn’t the same image… but it looks like it could well have been the inspiration for that cover…

Thanks 🙂 I love the versatility of water and its moods – one minute calm and serene, the next raging!

This is a great post. The photos are outstanding. Some of the photos remind me of the Lake District of England.
