Evening Dock Tarn & Haystacks Again

Although Rosthwaite in Borrowdale is too near where I now live for me to stay, we’ve stayed for decades now at The Royal Oak Hotel in Rosthwaite and become very friendly with the owners and staff. I’ve just received an e-mail saying the place has now been sold and so I thought we’d best book a few nights’ stay in order to see everyone again and see how we can keep in touch! This photo is of the sun one day this year – it was actually much brighter red than my digi-camera shows and was truly weird. The reason it was red, apparently, was because dust from the Sahara was in the atmosphere making it appear red through the haze…





New House – The Good… and the Maybe…
