Having lived on the Outer Hebrides off Scotland for nearly 5 years, I can vouch for the fact that the islands have superb sunsets – here are some I captured both when I lived there and on my re-visits to the islands…

Not seen any of those colours for a while Carol.I managed to get out yesterday for a day long sunny bike ride(not posted yet) my first for three weeks due to the dull conditions.I dont do dull.I,d rather hibernate instead 🙂
At least its been poor weather as you get better.Nothing worse than a fine summer if you cant enjoy it.
Good line from the simsons I recall.

Only 2 weeks until I sail so hopefully this Gulf Stream stays south and the Western Isles keep the dry sunny weather they have had for the last few months.
How’s the recovery coming along – fast & pain free hopefully ?

I thought of you when I put that post out as I knew you’re due to set off soon… They’re getting great, dry weather aren’t they? I’m even more jealous now!
My wrist is horrendously painful for typing but otherwise is doing pretty well – the surgeon says it won’t be right though for about 2 years! My big toe hasn’t bothered me at all – it’s been really good. I just hope it mends properly and I can get going straight after. It’s awful not being able to walk anywhere at all – I feel a right slob! 😦
